The Ultimate Epic Fantasy Series.

“The Wheel Of Time” is a massive undertaking for a reader. Fourteen books each around a thousand pages long. There is always a great draw in becoming fully immersed in another world. Ignoring life and just being drawn away into a fantasy world. I remember the first time I read “The Lord of the Rings” and I was drawn away into Middle Earth for a few weeks. I Loved it. Loved it as I had “Watership Down” and Moorcock’s “Eternal Champion” stories and Alan Garners' Weirdstone of Birsingamen”.
There is a wonder in leaving this world for a while in pages of a book. Wither it is a few days (Moorcock, Alan Garner). A week or two residing in the worlds of Ursula Lee Guin, Richard Adams, Mervyn Peake or Arthur Machen or a month in company of Tolkien, Julian May, David Gemmell or Stephen King.

Yet, there are few who have followed Robert Jordan’s course. Some have tried (Stephen Donaldson, David Eddings, Raymond E Feist and a few other's) none that I know of have equaled Mr Jordans epic achievement.

Do not expect to read “The Wheel of Time” in a few days no matter how fast you read or how much spare time you have. Nor in a week or a month. An avid reader with insomnia and a great deal of spare time may just get through the whole series in three months. For most unless you take a break here and there it is half a year to a full year or longer to read all fourteen books.
That said, and I know the idea is daunting, it is well worth a read but you have to be willing to give up long perios of time to it. Lol- it tells you in the title.
If you are willing to undertake such a commitment you will likely love it. Millions did.

What’s New With Raymond Walker

May the first 2026 will see the release of "The Dark Kind" . a dark Faerie Tale. The River Tales have been going on for almost twenty years and May this year will see them all concluded in a very dranatic finale.

a completely new novel and an ending to all of the river tales.  It will be hearalded, Proclaimed and advertised as both the publishers and public are awaiting a conclusion to "The dead girl and the wandering tree".  Well this is it.

"Sad Green Eyes" will follow soon after. I hope. and a little while after that "The living room" though that may be twenty twentyseven.
